- ➤ Permian High students won the Dallas Cowboys Community Captain Competition and used a $10,000 Chevron grant to help survivors of domestic violence at the Crisis Center of West Texas (they put together 250 care packages in one day). - ➤ A man in his 60s, identified as Raymond Rodriguez, was hit and killed while crossing Garden City Highway on Wednesday night when a 2024 Chevrolet Tahoe traveling westbound could not avoid him in a poorly lit area, and police said next-of-kin were notified with the investigation ongoing. CBS7

- ➤ The City Council approved personnel changes in the City Attorney's Office on March 27th — the new staff roles will be implemented soon. City of Midland
- ➤ Texas Senator César J. Blanco filed several bills to support the Permian Basin, aiming to address infrastructure and safety needs in counties including Pecos and Reeves.
