Good morning, Midland.

Data released in November showed Midland MSA had the state's lowest unemployment rate — under 3% — which highlighted solid job stability in the area.

On March 27, the Midland Police Department held its 33rd annual awards banquet at Bush Convention Center where it honored officers and departments with awards like the Medal of Service and Medal of Valor—accompanied by a performance from the Dueling Piano Eighty Eights Show.

This event celebrated the achievements of police staff and reflected the department’s ongoing commitment to public service.

Federal food safety officials announced that Cargill Kitchen Solutions recalled over 212,000 pounds of liquid egg products produced March 12-13 because they may have been contaminated with a cleaning solution (reported to pose low health risk) that was shipped to distributors in Texas, Ohio, and other states. Consumers with products like Egg Beaters and Bob Evans Better’n Eggs should discard or return them to their place of purchase.
