- ➤ Midland College has been awarded a $100,000 grant from Texas Mutual Insurance Company to support its Risk Management Institute, which offers workplace safety courses to over 1,700 local students and employers—helping them gain essential skills such as basic life support and first aid. The funding, granted for 21 consecutive years, may let the institute expand its offerings to new areas in the future. CBS7
- ➤ Odessa College is planning to ask voters to approve a $325 million bond called Vision 2030—funding new projects—in the May 3 election. If passed, the bond will help the college expand and support its future growth. NewsWest9

- ➤ On Tuesday, the Texas Senate passed a bill that would require voters to show proof of citizenship when registering, and those without proof will be allowed to vote only in congressional elections—voters who have already verified their status are not affected.
