- ➤ Volunteers from Coffee and Connections + Family Promise worked together yesterday in Midland to create Easter baskets for families in need + raised awareness of their missions to support families facing hardship. CBS7
- ➤ The Midland Rape Crisis and Children’s Advocacy Center launches its 6th annual Blue the Basin Campaign to raise awareness of and support for free services for survivors of sexual assault and child abuse during child abuse prevention month — services that include advocacy, therapy, forensic interviews, and outreach. Local partners and local businesses will host events throughout April with a family-friendly event on April 24 at the Museum of the Southwest — where a children’s museum and education sessions will be offered. - ➤ A vulgar Facebook post by Midland ISD School Board President Brandon Hodges has drawn criticism as community members worry his actions distract from school policy debates.
