- ➤ A man identified as James McGrew was arrested at Midland International Air and Space Port on July 13 after an American Airlines baggage attendant discovered several sealed bags of marijuana in a suitcase—he said the bag was picked up for someone in exchange for $300—and he later posted a $7,500 bond. Brooks Landgraf filed HB 92 on Monday to eliminate the STAAR test and all state-mandated tests not required by federal law in Texas public schools; if passed, the bill will take effect in the next school year.
