ACCIDENTS NEWS

  • A chemical spill on the service road shut down Loop 250 in both directions between Todd Road and County Road 1150 — hazardous materials crews are working to neutralize the spill while officials said no one was hurt.  CBS7
  • Around noon today, an 18-wheeler carrying chemical totes lost part of its load along Loop 250 service road in north Midland — Midland Fire Chief Michael Tully said the spill involved organic peroxide and prompted safety measures.  NewsWest9

  • Authorities released new video footage showing two male suspects breaking into a Midland home on Black Wolf Trail on July 8 at 8:44 a.m.—they stole 17 firearms and fled in a stolen Ford Explorer that was later found abandoned.  CBS7

  • A Midland mother has raised concerns over unsafe walking conditions near Carver Center as children face risks from litter, rocks, and other hazards at the busy intersection of Wall and Carver streets. She said that the ongoing blame between the city and MISD has delayed improvements that parents and the school PTA need before the school year begins.  CBS7
