Good morning, Midland.

A 56-year-old Colorado man riding a 2017 Harley Davidson crashed Sunday at 2:14 a.m. on the north service road near the 1200 block of East Interstate 20 in Midland and suffered serious head injuries after striking a concrete curb—he was not wearing a helmet and alcohol is believed to be a factor.

Midland ISD vice president Josh Guinn will ask the board to change Legacy High School back to Midland Lee as early as Tuesday, a move supporters say shows community pride.

Many parents worry the change undoes progress made to remove hurtful symbols (and could affect school traditions).
