- ➤ Senior Life Midland is hosting the 36th annual Texas Size Garage Sale from Oct. 3 to Oct. 4 and Oct. 8 and 18 at 407 E. Scharbauer Drive to support Meals on Wheels. The event runs daily from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. with thousands of items—ranging from furniture to clothing—and free admission except $5 on Oct. 4. CBS7
- ➤ Residents received an update last week on new work starting at Beal Park—officials explained the area is set to be transformed into one of Midland's top parks. City of Midland

- ➤ S&R Vapor Recovery expanded to Midland when it opened a new Field Service headquarters on September 25—providing 3,750 square feet of office space, 9,750 square feet of warehouse space, and a 1,500-square-foot wash bay to support training, customer engagement, and field operations. CBS7

EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Karl Boroski from R.O.P.E Youth has launched the Food First campaign to pay off Midland schools' lunch debt so all children get a regular meal—volunteers noted that kids in debt often receive only a cheese sandwich. The initiative has fed 60,000 youth over five years, has raised about $3,700 toward the current debt of over $6,000, and will be promoted next month at Texas Roadhouse and Oaks Coffee and Creative Co.
