  • Beal Park is being transformed into a signature regional park—an effort driven by strong local partnerships and a significant investment designed to enhance Midland’s community space.  City of Midland
  • The Midland Fire Department will host the Truck or Treat event on October 11 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Central Fire Station, 1500 W. Wall St—where families can receive hands-only CPR training, fire safety education and a car wreck simulation scheduled for noon—while the City closes eight street blocks and offers free carnival games, face painting, candy and snacks for over 8,000 guests.  City of Midland
  • The Midland Downtown Park Conservatory and Centennial Park have announced a free 5th Anniversary Party in the Park that will be held October 4 from noon to 5 p.m. at Centennial Park — the event will feature local live music, kid-friendly activities, free refreshments, and food trucks for purchase.  CBS7
  • Senior Life Midland’s Texas Size Garage Sale opens this weekend at 407 East Scharbauer Drive in a 25,000 square foot warehouse filled with donated furniture, clothing, and decor with free shopping on October 4, 8, and 18 from 9 A.M. to 2 P.M. — Early shoppers can enter for $5 on Friday and one third of the proceeds will support the Meals on Wheels program feeding local seniors.  CBS7
  • Teen FLOW Youth Ministry is hosting its annual fall fundraiser today at the Summit Center in Midland from 5:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.—the event will feature pumpkin painting, a petting zoo, face painting, live music, and local food.  CBS7
