GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton has launched an investigation into a property tax hike approved by the Odessa City Council on Sept. 23 because the city missed filing required financial documents under Senate Bill 1851. Paxton sent letters to Odessa, La Marque, Tom Bean and Whitesboro asking them to pause their tax increases until his office reviews the records. CBS7
